LE MERIDIEN FISHERMAN’S COVE SEYCHELLES (1998 – 2000)

Green Technologies has been promoting the concept of Green Design in Middle East and neighboring countries for a long time through a number of conferences and seminars on Green Buildings. The Company participates actively in programs sponsored by the USGBC and its LEED™ Rating System.

This has led to their participation as the LEED TM Consultant for the greening of the LE MERIDIEN FISHERMAN’S COVE SEYCHELLES and they were commissioned by Compagnie Seychelloise De Promotion Hoteliere Ltd. to determine general compliance for an existing hotel under the Green Building Concept (GBC). The study entailed a site audit and a DOE 2.1 energy simulation of the hotel.

The hotel was assessed by Green Technologies Inc. on the basis of United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED TM ) Criteria. The assessment and the report indicated that the hotel would be eligible for LEED™ Rating if it implements the recommended measures in the report.

The study showed that the hotel fell short of the required credits for Green Building Council Accreditation, but was within the reach of achieving certification, by implementing energy efficient measures, resource utilization improvements and other O&M procedures.
