The Retrofit of Mechanical and Electrical Equipment and Replace with the New Equipment - Hyatt Regency

The Hyatt Regency and Galleria, commissioned the services of ServeU under the management of a LEED™ Accredited Professional, to Engineer and Project Manage the retrofit of the 5000 Ton Chiller Plant.

Green Technologies provided the services of the LEED™ Accredited Professional, for Engineering, Energy Modeling and Project Management, from concept to completion.

The project involved the replacement of the 23 year old chiller plant, associated electrical works and MEP Building Services, without disrupting the operations of the hotel.

The retrofit include

  • 5000 Tons of Centrifugal Chillers.
  • 6000 Tons of Cooling Towers.
  • Condenser water Pumps.
  • MEP Building Services.
New equipment include

  • Chiller Plant Manager
  • Variable Speed Chillers
  • Variable Flow Primary Pumping
  • Chiller Plant Manager

Project Highlights

  • No disruption to hotel operations
  • Completed on time & on budget
  • Moving of 400,000 Tons of equipment in an operating hotel.

- Life Cycle Analysis,   including Value   Engineering.
