2007 – A Year of Intense Sustainable Building Awareness Campaigning

2007 Has been a very successful year for Green Technologies with regard to creating awareness on various issues and subjects of current importance, among many other achievements. As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility protocol and in accordance with its commitment to conserving the environment, Green Technologies actively got involved in voluntarily spreading awareness and sharing expertise and knowledge gained in the past ten years, on subjects such as Green Building, Sustainability in the Construction Industry and its Various Constituent Sectors, the LEED Rating System, its Application and Implications, Current Global Environmental Challenges and ways in which the Construction and MEP Industry can help Mitigate these issues.

These awareness programmes were facilitated by Green Technologies in addition to its voluntary involvements with the Emirates Green Building Council as one of its first 150 members, the Emirates Environmental Group and the Foundation of Goodness in Sri Lanka.

In the past, Green Technologies has been involved in constructing sustainable homes for the Tsunami victims of the southern coast of Sri Lanka and carrying out environmental awareness campaigns in the UAE. As an extension to its social responsibilities, Green Technologies is also hoping to build partnerships with friends in the Philippines and elsewhere in the near future, for further voluntary work on the same lines.
