Dubai World Trade Center Development Phase - 1
Dubai World Trade Center Development Phase -1 is a mixed use development consisting of Offices, Hotels, retail, serviced Apartments and Residential Buildings spanning over 1.1 Million Sq. Meters of built up area.
The client’s design brief requires this development to be environmentally responsible addressing sustainability in general and specifically directed at achieving a green building rating such as LEED ® for its buildings. Based on a design brief, the Architects and the Engineers have made the Concept Design adopting Sustainable Strategies.
Green Technologies were commissioned by WSP Middle East Ltd. to provide professional services for, LEED ® Assessment and recommendation on viability of LEED ® certification and or a rating of all or some of the buildings.
The feasibility of achieving LEED ® certification of buildings was highlighted in the LEED ® Assessment Report, focusing on Energy and Atmosphere, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, Materials and Resources, Sustainable Site and Innovation in Design for Dubai World Trade Center Development Phase - 1.
A LEED ® Workshop was conducted by Green Technologies with client representation and project team, providing them information on LEED ® and LEED ® as a design tool to achieve the objectives. The outcome from LEED ® Workshop indicated that the development can be the largest Green Building Development in the world with offices having potential to achieve highest possible LEED ® rating from USGBC. |
